Recipe: Kale Chips.

In an effort to become much more healthy in 2014, I’ve been trying new recipes (from Pinterest and beyond). White girls everywhere have been obsessed with kale lately, so I figured I’d try my hand at making kale chips. I went through a lot of recipes that involved a lot of oil–instead of following these directly I created a modified version, using less oil and the ever so trendy apple cider vinegar.

1 tsp olive oil
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Loads of kale
Salt and pepper

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Wash and thoroughly dry kale, breaking it into small, bit sized pieces. Do not break too small, as the leaves will shrink in the oven.
3. Put the kale in a bowl and evenly coat with olive oil and vinegar.
4. Coat a baking pan with wax paper and spread kale onto pan in a thin layer. Add salt and pepper as needed.
5. Place into oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Note: all ovens vary, so keep an eye on your kale chips so they don’t burn. They should turn out light and crispy–if those in the middle are still soggy, move them to the edges of the pan.
